Google Chrome Free download

Released publicly in December 2008, Google Chrome quickly became a highly demanded browser. It is essentially a freeware web browser created by Google with the aim to make browsing simple and fast. It started off by using a Webkit Layout Engine which was later replaced with WebKit fork Blink. Statistics prove that Chrome is the most widely used browser on the market as in July 2014 StatCounter surveyed that 45% of users use Google Chrome. For programmers the good news is that most of Chrome’s source code has been released making it open source. Probably the only restricted component is the Flash Player.

Chrome was actually assembled using various code libraries available from Google and other third parties including Network Security Services, Mozilla's Netscape Portable Runtime, Skia Graphics Engine, SQLite, NPAPI, other various open-source projects. Now it has its own layout engine which Google calls as Blink. The sole purpose is to provide developers more opportunities and freedom in editing the browser’s functions.
