Google Chrome Free download
Released publicly in December 2008, Google Chrome quickly became a highly demanded browser. It is essentially a freeware web browser created by Google with the aim to make browsing simple and fast. It started off by using a Webkit Layout Engine which was later replaced with WebKit fork Blink. Statistics prove that Chrome is the most widely used browser on the market as in July 2014 StatCounter surveyed that 45% of users use Google Chrome. For programmers the good news is that most of Chrome’s source code has been released making it open source. Probably the only restricted component is the Flash Player.

Chrome was actually assembled using various code libraries available from Google and other third parties including Network Security Services, Mozilla's Netscape Portable Runtime, Skia Graphics Engine, SQLite, NPAPI, other various open-source projects. Now it has its own layout engine which Google calls as Blink. The sole purpose is to provide developers more opportunities and freedom in editing the browser’s functions.
Features
- Overall the Chrome browser is secure and simple yet very fast. This is achieved because of the minimalistic interface.
- It does not render RSS feed and has a fast Javascript processing speed. Making it smooth and stable.
- Since population today uses browsers on a number of devices, Google Chrome allows them to transfer their bookmark and other settings between these devices. This can be achieved by transferring the data through a Gmail account. This feature ensures that users have a similar browsing experience regardless of which device they are using.
- Although the browser passed the Acid 1 and Acid 2 tests, the recent version also pass the Acid 3 test. It means the browser is very stable and active with HTML 5.

- The major problem with other browsers is the lack of security measures. The Google Chrome browser has invested extensively in its security features. Chrome usually retrieves the updates anything blacklisted (which can be malware or phishing). In addition, they warn the users whenever attempts to visit such sites are seen.
- Also chrome has the built in feature of protecting the browser internally. This means that the effects of one tab in a window will not be felt in other tab in the same window.
- With the latest feature of scan protection, any download made will be first scanned for malware before it becomes available to download. This is the Sandboxing method. Whenever the users will open a malicious website the Sandbox will start monitoring every tab separately.
- For privacy protection Google Chrome comes with the incognito feature that creates a separate window which does not keep any track of the history. Such a privacy feature is not found with any other browser.
