Google Download Software

There is a range of different software available to download from Google for PC’s and Mobiles:

Google Chrome: A relatively new web browser, which is the browser of choice for many people due to its abilities, such as the website translation feature, and also for its abilities such as speed and versatility.

Google Talk: An Instant Messenger for quick communication with your Gmail contacts.

Google Earth/ Maps: A web based mapping service with detailed imagery and street view.

Google Docs: For reading documents online, particularly those that have been uploaded to your Google Drive.

Google Drive: An online virtual drive, which is the perfect solution for a traveller as you can access your files from anywhere in the world with just an internet connection.

As Google provides a lot to its users, it’s one of the most favourite browsers used by people all over the world.

Google Software:

Open your Internet Explorer Browser, in the address bar type, http://www.google.com

On the top right hand corner of the page you will see 9 small squares which are called “Apps”. Click it and it will show a drop down menu of the Google Apps available, some of the software are for downloading, while others are for using online straight from Google. For example “Gmail”, “Google+”, “Google Talk” and “Google docs” are for online use only.

Google software to download are:

Google Chrome, Google Drive and Google Earth.

How to download Google Chrome:

Click on the Apps icon from the Google homepage. From that list, click “More” and then “Even more from Google”. You will then see the Google Chrome icon. Click it and the download section will open. You will see a button called “Download Chrome”. Click it and the download will begin, once completed, double click the file and follow the prompts to begin the installation.

Downloading Google Drive:

Open your Internet Explorer browser, in the address bar type, http://www.google.com

In the top right corner of the screen there will be the Google Apps icon. Click the icon and a drop down menu will appear. In the menu you will see the “Drive” icon. Click it and you will be asked to login to your Google Account. Once signed in, you will be taken directly to your Google Drive.

Downloading Google Earth:

Open your Internet Explorer browser, in the address bar type in http://www.google.com

In the Google search box type in “Google Earth download” and click search, the first link in the search results will be http://earth.google.com/download-earth.html‎

”, click that link and it will take you to the download page, you have an option of ticking and un-ticking the check box to include “Google Chrome in your installation or not, click the “Agree” button and the download will pop up, click save on the small size file, once it has completed, double click the small downloaded file and the actual Google Earth installer will begin. Make sure you are connected to the internet.

Once it has completed the download, the window will show “Installation complete” you will then click the “Close” button, Google Earth is now installed.
